Even better, they have a neat little vent on the lids that the picture online doesn't show (and I didn't even know existed when I ordered).It really helps with microwaving leftovers kept in this type of container ~ when I reheat food the w/the lid on, it tends to explode/pop off, but if I lift a corner, the lid sometimes falls off ~ both annoying. These have a round twist top (just like a salt/pepper shaker) there you can twist it so no air escapes, or twist it so there is a hole for venting.
